HOW ALL STARTED?

My first dog came when I was 13 years in the year 1990. The dog was Golden retriever bitch Viuhkahännän Kikka, "Kikka". With her I started to get into this interesting dog world. At the first I just trained basic obedience with Kikka but somehow I involved to train to obedience trials too. We also took part to the obedience trials. All our trials were not so successful but we managed to get our way up until the winners class, where we took part to few trials.

Kikka was also showed few times. In the very first show (for both of us) was a chance to take part to Junior Handler competition. I was 3rd in that competition and after that nothing could stop me :)

Kikka was usually my dog in the Junior Handler competitions and we achieved some wins and many good placements. My best year in the Junior Handler was the year 1994. During that year I won the competition, which gave me the right to take part to Finnish Championship competition. In the Championship competition I had not any success but it was so amazing experience!

The year 1994 was not only joy and happiness, because I lost my companion. Kikka had problems in her back and we tried all but nothing could help her. She passed away in July 1994. But once a dog owner, always a dog owner...

At the moment I share my house with two Golden boys. My oldie is Manu (Goldencoat Dry Martini), who is born in May 1994 and my youngster is Linus (Tottelina Quickstep), born also in May but in the year 2001. Manu has always been a very energy fellow and field trials were just like made for him. We managed to get our way to the open class, but there we competed only two times. I had to retire him, because of the healthy problems. But still, in the age of ten, he is very eager to training with the dummies.

Linus is much calmer than Manu and he has lots of will to please. Linus is a wonderful character. He loves everybody and gives kisses to all people. Linus also likes to "talk" a lot. Linus tells his stories many times in a day, especially in the mornings. You should hear what kind of "noise" here is in the mornings when Linus is saying good morning and telling about the dreams he has seen :)

I am a student and I study at the Helsinki University of Technology at the Chemistry department. My main is process control and I have done over than half of my master level studies. I hope that could graduate in few years.
